WIN One of Two Manuscript Assessments by David Owen

Purchase a ticket to Pitch to a Publisher or any TAF2019 Writing Masterclass or Workshop and you’re eligible to apply for one of two manuscript assessments by renowned Tasmanian writing teacher and author of the Pufferfish series, David Owen.

You’ve drafted your manuscript. You’ve edited it until it’s polished. You love it, your beta readers love it. It’s time to get published. Are you ready to pitch to a publisher?

Spend the morning honing your pitch to a publisher or agent with award-winning author Jack Heath, the creator of Ready, Set, Pitch!, followed by an afternoon of pitching to three Australian publishers for instant industry feedback.

Your publishers include Lindy Cameron, CEO of Clan Destine Press (with an interest in crime, mystery, suspense and thriller fiction), Lucy Bell, Senior Editor at Pantera Press (with an interest in all fiction, including children’s fiction) and Angela Meyer, Publisher at Echo Publishing, Bonnier Zaffre (with an interest in all fiction, including speculative and crime fiction) .

The day includes afternoon tea with Murder She Wrote panellists, including Tara Moss, Shamini Flint and Joanna Baker who’ll have their own stories of pitching to publishers to tell!

$175, incl. GST.

TAF2019 is offering a concurrent day of three two-hour Masterclasses on Friday.

This project was assisted through Arts Tasmania by the Minister for the Arts.
